Fun in the Sun: Be a Summer Counselor!
Winter is a great time to start looking for enjoyable and rewarding summer employment, and West Goshen's Summer Recreation Program or Summer Teen
Program may have the prefect position for you!
Summer Recreation Program:
The West Goshen Park and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the positions of counselor and junior counselor for the 2010 Summer Recreation Program. Counselors supervise 5 – 12 year old children and are responsible for
facilitating group activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, and field trips. Counselor applicants must be 18 years old, and have a high school diploma by June 21, 2010. Junior counselors
assist with daily activities / operations, and are required to be 16 years old by June 21, 2010. The application deadline is Thursday, April 1, 2010 for counselor applicants, and
Thursday, April 29th, 2010 for junior counselor applicants.
Summer Teen Program:
The Park and Recreation Department is also hiring for the position of counselor with the Summer Teen Program.
Counselors supervise 13 – 15 year old participants and lead a variety of activities including sports, games, community service projects, and weekly field trips. Applicants must be 18 years old, and
have a high school diploma by June 21, 2010. The application deadline is Thursday, April 1, 2010.
Both eight - week programs begin Monday, June 21st and continue through Friday, August 13th. Counselor applicants,
18 years of age and above, are required to commit to all eight weeks in order to be eligible for employment, and if offered a position must submit background clearances.
